This morning I found large unwanted files had been added to my website! Apparently the security of my webhost (MidPhase) has been cracked and I informed them as such. Webpages and images including porn had been added... I find this worrying and have deleted what I found; I would welcome reports when visitors to my website stumble on such images.

It seems the problems with certain webpages being labelled 'Forbidden' has been resolved by my Webhost MidPhase. Solution was to add some records in .htaccess file. It doesn't mean a thing to me but I am glad it solved the problem!
A PC breakdown, a few weeks ago, forced me to pauze with web updates, lost a shit load of emails and other files but the PC is, with a fresh Windows XP install, humming nicely again and I am clearing the backlog. Anyone who sent me an email with images to add to my website which haven't shown, please resend me that email if you can or care.

Lost use of my PC (and a fair share of files & software) after a stupid move... In the process of intstalling hardware and software, loading backups (found some of them incomplete of course).
People who sent me emails and expect images to be loaded onto my website: sorry: all mail files were lost in some digital black hole!! Please make contact if to see if resending is an option; sorry for the inconvenience.
But I thought it a good time to upgrade my software to Dreamweaver CS, so something good may come of it after all.
- Since I have heard of no progress at all from MidPhase, concerning the sudden 'Forbidden label' on my Guestpages, I have started renaming them; below links will not work anymore and I have a horrendous task staring me in the face of browsing 700 webpages for broken links... Thank you MidPhase (but no thanks).

You may get a page looking like this: 'FORBIDDEN' (in large, unattractive lettering) and : "You don't have permission to access /tmp-photos-14.htm on this server." I have asked my Webhost, MidPhase, what this was all about as this is what you get on all 14 links to the 'Guest'-pages... MidPhase did not give the cause why links which previously worked fine, now are VERBOTEN!! Instead, I was suggested to change the names of the pages and remove the tmp- part.. Changing the names of 14 pages is not much work but checking and correcting 700 webpages for broken links is a lot of work... Also, checking all the images on these pages for proper links out of my database is a lot of work as I suspect the Guest pages hold about 500+ images at least! MidPhase is working on another solution so we have to wait until they manage to find out what exactly got screwed up.

The website came back online after MidPhase found out theirs was an overreaction to an incidental increase of visitors caused by my website being the temporary subject on a popular forum. Thanks but no thanks, MidPhase!

Webhost Midphase.com pulled the plug on my website, just like that. Because (inspite of contracted unlimited bandwidth) they found their server could not cope with the daily average of 100-200 visitors a day (server RAM and CPU use). No more website and no more email. Snap, just like that. There was of course an offer for a solution, obviously at against hugely increased costs...!

About time I showed some attention to propliners again: a Visit to Greybull, homebase of Hawkins & Powers. They specialize in aerial firefighting and operate an interesting selection of airtankers.

Transbrasil is still fighting to restructure itself for a restart, but ceased operations in Dec.2001 and is included in Airlines Remembered. Also added Trans World Airlines (TWA) as it has been taken over by American Airlines and ceased independent operations in December too.
