Boeing 737-46B OO-ILJ (msn/ln 25262/2088) is seen here on final approach into BRU on a day in July 2000. A small struggling operator that tried hard to stay afloat. By painting a large advertisement for Leonidas chocolates on this aircraft, extra funds was generated. The titling on this aircraft also illustrates that Airtours of the UK had taken a share in Air Belgium; alas, it was "curtains" for this company in Oct.2000.
In 2000 Air Belgium operated 3 aircraft:
OO-ILJ 737-46B (25262/2088)
OO-AEY Airbus A320-212 (301)
OO-AEZ Airbus A320-212 (349)
These aircraft were returned to their leasing companies.

The very same aircraft, in June 1999, is seen here (slightly obstructed by the high grass) at Amsterdam-Schiphol, in a more regular colourscheme (I don't mind all these changes and add-ons: they keep my camera busy!).
